An award-winning SieMatic PURE kitchen in Amsterdam
A kitchen for a unique living space
This SieMatic PURE kitchen was designed for a luxury trailer in Amsterdam. This presented different challenges than a traditional home. The available space had to be used optimally, without compromising the design’s tranquility or aesthetic appeal. With a 9-meter-long kitchen, there was room for various functions—from a coffee corner and wine cooler to an integrated TV solution. Everything found its place within a single design.
Pink accents give the design character
The inspiration for the color scheme came during a visit to the SieMatic Forum in Germany. The residents were charmed by the soft shades of pink used there. The color is reflected in various details of the kitchen and creates a beautiful contrast with the dark base materials. This gives the design its own unique look without losing the calm foundation.

A striking contrast between dark and soft
Oak Oolong was chosen for the cabinet fronts, a dark wood finish that adds warmth to the design. The deep color provides a calm backdrop that really lets the pink accents shine. The countertop and backsplash are finished in matte Belvedere Quartzite. The material’s natural grain gives the kitchen extra character and depth.
Lighting that combines ambiance and function
Lighting plays an important role in this kitchen. Round fixtures hang above the cooking island, immediately drawing the eye without overwhelming the design. In addition, various LED solutions are integrated into the cabinetry. This creates both functional task lighting and a warm ambiance in the evening hours.
Designed for everyday use
In addition to aesthetics, ease of use played an important role. The dishwasher was installed at a comfortable height, and extra storage space ensures that everything remains within easy reach. The appliances have also been carefully integrated into the design, keeping the kitchen practical without looking cluttered.
Awarded by the expert jury
This project received an honorable mention in the PURE category of the SieMatic ID Contest 2024. The jury appreciated the combination of personal preferences, use of materials, and functionality. The result is a kitchen that stands out for its unique character and well-thought-out layout.
