Industrial-chic SieMatic URBAN kitchen in Laren
A kitchen with a distinct character of its own
In this home in Laren, the owners chose a kitchen that immediately stands out thanks to the contrast between dark materials and warm metallic accents. Black oak veneer, bronze details, and a light-colored countertop define the room’s look. Large windows surrounding the kitchen let in plenty of natural light, allowing the dark colors to retain their warm character. The result is a kitchen that looks bold without feeling heavy.
A spacious kitchen island as the focal point
The kitchen island is the focal point of the space. Here, cooking, washing up, food prep, and dining come together in a single layout. The combination of dark oak veneer, a front in Golden Bronze, and a countertop in Calacatta Gold composite gives the island a distinctive look. There’s room to pull up a chair at the end, while the spacious work surfaces offer plenty of room for everyday use and extensive cooking.

A ceiling frame that connects the space
Above the island hangs a custom ceiling frame that combines lighting, ventilation, and open shelves. This creates a clear focal point above the island without obstructing the view of the room. The open shelves provide space for accessories and plants, making the frame not only functional but also contributing to the kitchen’s aesthetic.
Dark oak, bronze, and Calacatta Gold
Oak Black veneer was chosen for the tall cabinets and the back of the island. The front of the island is finished in Golden Bronze metal, creating a warm contrast with the dark wood. The Calacatta Gold composite countertop brings light into the design and complements the bronze accents beautifully. The Quooker, sink, and other details have also been carefully coordinated with the chosen materials.
High-quality technology
The tall cabinet wall provides space for the ovens, wine cooler, freezer, and other appliances. By housing everything in a single wall, the island remains free of visual clutter. The kitchen is equipped with Gaggenau appliances, including a combi-steam oven, multifunctional oven, induction cooktop, and dishwasher. Additionally, a Liebherr wine cooler and freezer are integrated into the design.
